This piece bears a lot of hope… health, wisdom, friends, good books, time for myself, discipline, focus on what is important, what’s important anyway?
It reminded me of my conversation with my daughter years ago, as I was preparing her for her first field trip, I told her “make sure you stay close to your group”.
She said “God help me see my friends”. She did not say “oh, I have to pay attention”… she was praying for good eyesight.
Same for me now… wishing for being able to focus, but then drifting away to “what’s important anyway”
